Terms of Service
The Terms of Service (“TOS”) herein are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the United States. “You” refers to the Customer, and “us” or “we” refers to Gene Heritage, Inc., a corporation in Massachusetts in the United States.
Before submitting your email to us, uploading raw DNA data to us, or accessing your Gene Heritage report, you must review and accept this TOS in addition to our Privacy Policy. If you are not of legal age, you must have parental consent to accept the TOS. You may not use our services if you do not agree to the TOS.
Email Consent
By submitting your email to Gene Heritage, you consent to receiving emails from us regarding news updates, new features, special offers, and other marketing material. You may unsubscribe from these marketing emails at any time. We do not resell your email to third parties. You agree to receive certain transactional emails from us to assist in the processing of your report; for example, an instruction email after sign-in, notifications about the status of your uploaded DNA and reports, and emails regarding technical issues.
Report Implications
Gene Heritage reports are based on information about raw DNA data willingly supplied to us. You release us from any and all claims, demands, or suits in connection with the results of your Gene Heritage report, including, without limitation, errors, omissions, emotional distress, or economic loss. Gene Heritage reports are not paternity or maternity tests and should not be used to confirm or deny familial relationships.
Usage and Applicability of Reports
Gene Heritage reports are for educational purposes only, and are not intended for healthcare purposes or legal proceedings. Talk to your physician, genetic counselor, and/or health care provider if you seek professional medical or reproductive assistance.
You agree and understand that there are many influences on your traits aside from the genes we report on. While we endeavour to report on genes that have a strong influence on traits (or clearly state when a gene only has a moderate to minor influence), you understand that other influences on your traits include but are not restricted to environmental, dietary, microbial, and lifestyle factors, as well as the complex interaction of other genes. Despite our best efforts, reports may include errors or inaccuracies.
Permissions for Raw DNA Data
You certify that you have received the express permission and consent from any individual whose raw DNA data you possess to upload his or her DNA data to Gene Heritage, access reports generated from this data, and share these reports with others. If individual is a minor, you certify you have received permission and consent from a parent of the individual.
You grant us permission to store any DNA data that you upload to Gene Heritage servers; raw DNA is deleted from our servers within a month if no purchase is made, or after a year of account inactivity if a purchase is completed. You can delete DNA data at any time.

Gene Heritage contains links to other Internet sites, in particular those relating to genetic research. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those websites.
Copyright Issues
Gene Heritage reserves copyright to the text of the reports as well as report visuals and illustrations.
